Canyon Democrats Attend 2010
Convention
Idaho Democratic Party Chairman Keith Roark called on Republican legislators to stop grand-standing with their law suit publicity stunt, to stop wasting taxpayers’ money, and to get to work.
“The people of Idaho are looking for vision and leadership to address the financial crisis that is costing Idahoans their jobs and their financial security,” Roark said. “Idahoans need paychecks, not more unemployment checks and they definitely don’t need costly political gimmicks.” Work for the 2010 elections is underway.
Economies across the country are recovering while Idaho waits for the other shoe to drop--the 12,000+ jobs cut by the 2010 legislature will lead to a second phase of home foreclosures and damage local businesses. Legislators were asked to adopt options so that the cuts would not have to be made if revenues did improve. Too many chose to follow the Republican leadership in lockstep. Let them know you are not happy!
